MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The second-seeded Bowdoin College women’s tennis team shut out Hamilton in the quarterfinal round of the NESCAC Championship Friday afternoon at Middlebury College. Bowdoin (12-6) moves on to the semifinals Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. against the host Panthers for a trip to the conference championship match Sunday.
Match Highlights
- Bowdoin quickly grabbed the doubles point with a 6-2 win from Zoe Sun/Bella Hartung at number one and a 6-1 triumph from Cara Hung/Suzanne Pogorelec at number two.
- Hartung got Bowdoin going in singles action with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number three and Bowdoin closed it out victories from Sun (6-4, 6-0) and Pogorelec (6-2, 6-3) to clinch it.
