BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men’s tennis team earned a pair of Saturday wins, extending their winning streak to five matches with wins over Trinity and Brandeis. The Polar Bears stand at 13-3 this season.
Trinity Highlights
- Bowdoin earned its first win of the day with a 7-0 shutout of Trinity.
- The Polar Bears took the doubles point with three convincing wins from Jackson Codd/Mark Kneiss (6-2), Aden Dorros/Mick Tamas (6-2) and Luke Riezebeek/Andrew Mendelson (6-4).
- The Polar Bears battled in singles play to seal the win, with Riezebeek and Dorros taking straight-set wins.
- Cameron Zia, Mendelson, Christian Stubbeman and Jack Pollock all posted three-set victories.
Brandeis Highlights
- The Polar Bears won two of three doubles matches to take the 1-0 lead against the Judges en route to a 6-1 overall win.
- Codd/Kneiss (7-5) and Simon Catanzaro/Kiran Garapati (7-6) both earned wins.
- The Polar Bears got straight-set wins from Kneiss, Garapati, Codd, Catanzaro, and Mendelson to clinch the victory.
Up Next
Bowdoin will close out their regular season on the road next weekend at Williams on Saturday and Middlebury on Sunday.
