ORONO, Maine – The Bowdoin baseball team concluded the regular season with an 11-6 in-state cross-divisional setback at the University of Maine.
The Division III Polar Bears are 15-18. The Division I Black Bears are 15-25.
Game Highlights
- The Black Bears took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first, but Bowdoin tied the game in the following half inning.
- Bowdoin had a pair of RBI groundouts by Conor Moriarty and Liam Foley to make it 2-2.
- UMaine added three runs in the third, with a pair coming off a homerun to left field, and a six-run sixth inning.
- Bowdoin scored in both the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings to climb back into the game.
- Henry Bibeau had a double down the right field line that plated Foley in the seventh.
- Wim Nook hit an RBI single in the eighth.
- Cal Thompson wrapped up the game’s scoring with a two-run single to center.
