BRUNSWICK, Maine – For the second straight season, and 18th time overall, the Bowdoin women’s tennis team will play in the NCAA Division III Championship as selections were announced on Monday.
The Polar Bears (13-7), the NESCAC runners-up and ranked 11th in the latest Division III poll, earned an at-large bid and will play in a regional at MIT this weekend. Bowodin has earned a first round bye and will play the winner of Williams and SUNY New Paltz on Saturday in the second round at noon. Sunday’s regional final is scheduled for noon.
The winner of this weekend’s regional will advance to the Division III Championships beginning May 18 at the Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.
