Big Brothers Big Sister of Bath Brunswick
We are excited to welcome Adrian Cole as our new Development Director, a position made possible through a generous grant from Together for Good: The Salka Family Impact Group.
Cole joins the agency with extensive experience in nonprofit communications, grant writing, and mission-driven work. Most recently, he served as Director of Grants and Communications at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine, bringing a strong understanding of the BBBS mission and the transformative impact of mentoring relationships.
In addition to his experience in the BBBS network, Cole has held positions at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and at the Middle East Journal in Washington, D.C. His professional background reflects a longstanding commitment to nonprofit organizations, education, and community engagement.
A native of the United Kingdom, Cole has lived in the United States for more than twenty years and currently lives on Chebeague Island. He has been actively involved in the island community, including running the Community Sailing School and serving with the Chebeague Island Fire & Rescue Association.
The Development Director position is an important investment in the future growth and sustainability of BBBS of Bath/Brunswick, especially during this period of transition for the organization. The agency has recently expanded its service area to include Androscoggin and Lincoln Counties, in addition to Bath, Harpswell, and all towns in Sagadahoc County, which it has served since 1981.
“This role is pivotal to expanding support for mentoring programs in these new areas and to strengthening services for children and families across the region,” said Marquis. “We are deeply grateful to Together for Good: The Salka Family Impact Group for helping us build the capacity to grow our impact and create more opportunities for young people.”
