August 5, 2026 Brunswick, ME — Maine State Music Theatre (MSMT) concludes its landmark 2026 season with one of the most celebrated musicals of the past decade, Come From Away, running August 5 through August 22at the Pickard Theater on the campus of Bowdoin College.
Winner of the Olivier Award for Best New Musical and nominated for seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Come From Away tells the remarkable true story of 7,000 airline passengers unexpectedly stranded in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, following the events of September 11, 2001. As the world stood still, the residents of Gander opened their homes, hearts, and lives to complete strangers, creating an unforgettable story of compassion, resilience, and human connection.
Written by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, Come From Away has captivated audiences around the globe with its soaring score, heartfelt storytelling, and celebration of kindness in the face of unimaginable circumstances.
