BRUNSWICK, Maine – Three members of the Bowdoin men’s tennis program have earned All-American status as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Senior Mark Kneiss (Athens, Greece) and sophomore Kiran Garapati (Chicago, Ill.) took home Division III Men’s Singles All-American recognition. Kneiss along with teammate junior Jackson Codd (Carlsbad, Calif.) to collect Division Men’s Doubles All-American.
Kneiss was named the NESCAC Player of the Year, the Clarence Chaffee Sportsmanship Award winner, the ITA Northeast Region Senior Player of the Year, and the ITA Northeast Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship award winner for his efforts this season, in which he went 28-11 in singles play and advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Division III Championship.
Playing behind Kneiss at number two this season for the Polar Bears, Garapati went 21-11 in singles play, and was named Second Team All-NESCAC, and the ITA Division III Men’s Tennis Player to Watch for 2025-26. He qualified for the NCAA singles championship for the first time in his career. Codd and Kneiss were First Team All-NESCAC at number one doubles for the Polar Bears this spring, going 14-8 overall as a duo.
