BRUNSWICK, ME, March 2026 – – Look forward to Maine’s open water fishing season by attending a presentation by Jason Smith of Maine Freshwater Exploration at the April get-together of the Merrymeeting Bay chapter of Trout Unlimited.

Jason Smith is a Digital creator from Milo ME, is a lifelong Maine resident and avid fisherman and he has explored and documented some of his favorite underwater fishing places in the state as well as checking out new places. His drone footage reveals what our lakes and rivers really look like at the very bottom. He’ll share the experiences of underwater treasure hunting, incredible finds and surprises. He will tell stories pulled from the depths of the waters, and show you some increadibly HUGE Brook trout! If you’ve ever lost an expensive pair of glasses overboard, Jason is the guy for recovery!

Members and the public are invited to attend the Merrymeeting Bay monthly meeting of this national cold-water conservation organization as we gather sportspeople and conservationists on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Sea Dog Brewing, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Topsham.

Social hour begins at 6:00 pm, the presentation starts at 7:00 pm. The event is free; dinner and drinks can be purchased.

MMBTU monthly membership meetings are held at Sea Dog on the third Tuesday of each month, September through May.
