CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Bowdoin women’s tennis team advanced to the NCAA Regional Final with a 4-0 win over Williams in the second round on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears continue their season with a 14-7 record and end the season for the Ephs (12-9).
Match Highlights
- Bowdoin earned the doubles point with a pair of quick wins at #1 (6-0) and #2 (6-3).
- Bella Hartung and Zoe Sun played at the top spot, with Suzanne Pogorelec and Cara Hung at two.
- Naomi Williams and Caroline Stuhlfaut were on their way to a win at #3 when the match was suspended (5-4).
- The Polar Bears picked up three quick singles points to advance.
- Hung went 6-3, 6-2 at #1 and Hartung won 6-3, 6-1 at #3. Sun also earned one of the singles points at #4 (6-3, 6-2).
- The match was played indoors on four courts, meaning Caroline Stuhlfaut at #5 and Julia Ross at #6 did not play a single point.

Bowdoin plays host MIT at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Polar Bears defeated the Engineers 4-0 in last year’s regional final to punch their ticket to the Elite Eight.
