MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The Bowdoin College women’s lacrosse team held Montclair (N.J.) State scoreless for the final 58:04 of a 2-1 win on Tuesday afternoon. The Polar Bears move to 2-3 while the Hawks fall to 3-2.
Game Highlights
- The teams exchanged goals in the opening two minutes of the contest before Bowdoin took command.
- Five straight Polar Bear goals, from five different players gave Bowdoin a 6-1 lead after one quarter of play.
- From there, Bowdoin rolled off eight goals in the second quarter, including three straight from Miya Imaeda, to extend their edge to 14-1 at intermission as Tate Ryan scored with one second left before the break.
- Six more goals in the second half sealed the win for Bowdoin.

- Miya Imaeda and Tate Ryan each scored three goals with an assist to lead the Bowdoin scorers.
- Grace Schorr, Jessie Ward, and Annie Bermingham all also had hat tricks.
- Grace Harvey won eight draws while Kate Min and Katie Athanasoulas both had three caused turnovers while Min had a team-best six ground balls.
- Hannah Rubin stopped two shots in the first 45 minutes while Alexa Genua posted two saves in the final quarter.
- Bowdoin owned a 37-10 edge in shots and forced 25 turnovers in the victory.
