WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – The Bowdoin baseball team dropped an 18-2 decision against Endicott on Monday afternoon.
The Polar Bears are 3-6. The Gulls sit at 5-4.
Game Highlights
- The Gulls took a quick 3-0 lead in the second inning and added two more runs in the third.
- Endicott extended its lead in the fifth with a two-run single and one-run triple.
- Bowdoin broke through in the bottom half of the fifth. Reuben Siegel doubled down the left field line, with the ball skipping over the fence for a ground rule double, to plate one run. Cal Thompson drove a runner in from third with a groundout to the pitcher.
- Endicott pinned a nine-run inning on the Polar Bears in the sixth.
- The game’s last run was a bases-loaded walk to the Gulls in the seventh.
By The Numbers
- Lukas Tsai and Siegel were the only two Polar Bears with hits, both doubles.
- Sam Almy started on the mound with three innings of work. Alex Saavedra also put in three innings.
- Will Smyth came in and faced three batters and Liam Childs had an inning with a pair of strikeouts.
