LEWISTON, Maine – The Bowdoin College men’s tennis team dismissed Bates, 6-1, in a NESCAC road win Saturday. The Polar Bears (8-2) are currently ranked fourth in the latest Division III poll.
Match Highlights
- Bowdoin took two of three doubles matches to take a 1-0 overall lead. Mark Kneiss/Jackson Codd (7-6) and Kiran Garapati/Simon Catanzaro (7-6) both won tight matches to give the Polar Bears an early edge.
- The Polar Bears put the match away in singles action as Kneiss, Garapati, Cameron Zia and Andrew Mendelson posted straight-set wins.
- Simon Catanzaro capped the day with a three-set comeback win (4-6, 7-6, 7-5).
