BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women’s tennis team opened the spring calendar with a narrow 4-3 setback at home against Babson on Sunday.
The tenth-ranked Polar Bears are 0-1. The ninth-ranked Beavers won their third straight match and climbed to 4-0.

- Babson earned the doubles point after Bowdoin’s lone doubles victory came at #3 with a 6-4 victory by Caroline Staulfaut and Naomi Williams.
- The Polar Bears earned wins at three, four, and six singles.
- Zoe Sun dropped her first set 7-6 but flipped the script in the second. Sun won the tie-breaker 10-8.
- Isabella Hartung earned at win at #4 with a 6-7, 6-2, 6-4 result.
- Julia Ross cleaned up in the six spot with a 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 final.
