BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women’s lacrosse team cruised to a 17-1 win in its home opener on Sunday against Roger Williams.

The Polar Bears rebound from yesterday’s setback to sit at 1-1. The Hawks are still looking for their first win (0-2).

Game Highlights

  • Bowdoin scored seven first quarter goals to jump out to an early lead. Grace HarveyAnnie BerminghamTate RyanGrace SchorrMiya ImaedaJessie Ward, and Ellie Fabbro each scored.
  • Ward’s goal came while the Polar Bears were down, while Harvey, Bermingham, and Fabbro all scored while up one.
  • The Polar Bears repeated with a seven goal second quarter, led by a pair from Ryan and two from Imaeda.
  • Mara Muse scored back-to-back goals at 5:13 and 2:15 in the third to make it 16-0.
  • Lauren Canata put the Hawks on the board with a solo effort in the fourth. Schorr responded five minutes later.

  • Imaeda, Ryan, and Muse all had three goals. Schorr and Fabbro pitched in a pair each.
  • Katie Athanasoulas accounted for four caused turnovers and Harvey had a matching number of draw controls.
