TOPSHAM, Maine – The Highlands is inviting residents, families, associates, and community members to celebrate the special bond between people and their pets during its inaugural Paws on Parade event on Saturday, June 27, at 10:30 a.m.
The event is part of Grace Management, Inc’s National Pet Program launch, celebrating pet-inclusive senior living and the meaningful role pets play in residents’ daily lives. The Highlands is proud to be the official launch site of this program, with additional celebrations planned across Grace Management communities this summer.
The parade will feature resident pets and their owners strolling through campus in a fun and festive celebration of companionship. Guests will have the opportunity to connect with fellow pet lovers while enjoying a morning dedicated to the animals that bring so much joy, comfort, and personality to everyday life at The Highlands.
The Highlands is also partnering with Midcoast Humane and plans to collect donations to support the organization’s work caring for homeless and vulnerable animals throughout the region.

The event will take place on the campus of The Highlands, located at 30 Governors Way in Topsham, Maine. Residents, families, and invited guests are encouraged to attend and show their support for the pets who make The Highlands feel even more special.
