MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Bowdoin College women’s tennis team is the second seed for the 2026 NESCAC Championship Tournament that begins Friday on the campus of Middlebury College. The Polar Bears (11-6, 8-2 NESCAC) will face seventh-seeded Hamilton (10-7, 4-6 NESCAC) at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the quarterfinals.
The championship continues throughout the weekend with semifinal matches set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday and the final at 11:00 a.m. Sunday.
The Polar Bears have qualified for the NESCAC Championship for the fifth year in a row and the 24th time overall and, as the No. 2 seed, matched the highest seed the program has achieved in tournament history. The Polar Bears enter the championship having won three straight matches and four out of their last five contests. Bowdoin defeated Hamilton 6-1 in the opening weekend of the spring season and the teams have never met before in NESCAC Tournament play.
