American Legion Area 3 Meeting

The second 2013-14 American Legion Area 3 Meeting was held November 24 at Bath Smith-Tobey Post 21. Area 3 includes 16 Posts in Knox, Lincoln and Sagadahoc counties, as well as the Brunswick and Harpswell Posts. The entire Legion family was represented, and included the Legion Riders, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion. L-R: Area 3 Cdr. Orr's Island Library Rededicates World War I and World War II Monuments

Harpswell’s John Leo Murray Jr. AL Post 171 Color Guard, firing squad and bugler participated in the August 18 rededication of the Orr’s Island World War I and World War II monuments located at the Orr’s Island library. The monuments were moved to the new location during construction at the library. The library also celebrated the completion of its 5-year building and renovation project.
