Harpswell’s John Leo Murray Jr. AL Post 171 explores forming Sons of the American Legion Squadron.

SAL squadrons enable sons and grandsons of wartime veterans to become part of the Legion family. Don Allisot, Jr., SAL Past National Vice Cdr. (2nd from left), presented an overview of the program to Post 171 members at their July 15 meeting. Accompanying him were SAL Distr. 8 Cdr. Chris Gillespie (1st left) and Scott Morton, 1st Vice Cdr. Detachment of Maine (3rd from left). Chris Gillespie is also a member of the American Legion (Bath Post 21). Post 171 Cdr.
