In Memory of Paul E. Labbe, Jr. 1982-2013
"May Your Tank Always Be Full of 97 Octane and Your V-tech Always POP As Hard As Possible. BRAAAP!" Paul, Jr.
ATLANTA, GA - Paul E. Labbe, Jr., born on Memorial Day, May 31st, 1982, was the beloved son of Holly (card) and Paul E. Labbe, Sr. of Harpswell.
Paul Jr. attended Longfellow School, Brunswick Junior High, and graduated Brunswick High School 2001. Paul also excelled at Vocational Region 10 in October Power Mechanics while wondering why a diploma was needed? He attended Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Phoenix Arizona finishing with top honors. After vocational training Paul returned to Maine he resumed work with the family business, Ray Labbe and Sons, where over his combined ten year career there he excelled to manager of Brunswick Pit operations.
In Paul's youth he began motor cross racing at the age of four. Later he found his passion in life Wrenching for several riders at the Pro Level in the Super cross/Moto Cross Racing. He started his Pro career Wrenching and Training Chandler Lindsey based in Mebane, North Carolina racing across the southern states. he also Trained and Wrenched for Pro Rider, David Buller, traveling up to 15,000 miles per month in the Sprint Van from Florida, Texas, Toronto, Tennessee to Southwick MA, where together Holly, Paul Sr. & Jr. shared that tracks final race. BRAAAP!
During off time Paul tool pleasure in building Honda motors and cars. He also enjoyed helping independently sponsored AMA amateur Moto Super Cross racers. Paul's impeccable smile and knowledge bossted confidence in young riders earning him respect from his peers young and old alike. Through the AMA Paul especially took pride in wrenching at Lorretta Lynns Amateur Championship in Tennesse helping up coming riders in need. His true passion! In his youth Paul was offten found affixing any type of motor to any frame, push cart or bicycle he could procure and then generously shared his contraptions with friends.
Paul, Jr.'s passion recently lead him to Farren Racing based in Atlanta, GA providing him the opportunity to Wrench for AMA amateur racers #176 Joey Savatgy, #62 Jordan Smith, #479 Andrew Maroney, #40 Brandon Hartranft, #172 Hannah Hodes, age 15, recent winner of the Mini o's AMA Female Chapionship and Finalist for Female Rider of the year. BRRAP!
Paul is leaving behind his beloved parents, sister Misty, her son Camdyn his brother Aaron and faithful companion Honda, maternal grandmother Hilda Card, paternal grandmother Madeline Labbe Mcmahan & her husband Mac (Daddy), many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, countless friends and Mentors including Dave Waters and family of Phoenix, AZ.
A celebration of Paul Jr's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to:
