Great Food and Entertainment is awaiting you at Wild Duck Restaurant & Pub at Highland Green in Topsham

If you ever had a meal or a drink at the former Wild Duck Pub at Highland Green, or if you have never been to this location, I would highly recommend you check out the “NEW” Wild Duck Restaurant & Pub as it is a whole different dining experience and is now open to the public as well as the residents here. The owners of Highland Green have created a beautifully redesigned Restaurant & Pub which is a place that not only you will enjoy, it is also a place you would be proud to bring Comedy nights in the downstairs pub are very entertaining. Jazz Brunch singer Christina Ariola friends and family to as well. I have

already been recommending the restaurant and pub to my friends after dining there several time since it reopened after the renovation.  We have had lunch overlooking the golf course one beautiful afternoon, dinner before a Maine State Music Theatre show (you get a free dessert if you show them your tickets) and they are delicious, we enjoyed their Sunday buffet brunch which showcases a good variety of breakfast items as well as an amazingly moist smoked salmon worth going back for alone, and we enjoyed dinner in the downstairs Pub while watching one of their comedy nights (that was a blast!).

The managers of Wild Duck Restaurant & Pub, the husband and wife team of Craig and Lisa Eaton-Lentz, have worked here in the past and have more than 50 years of combined service in the food and catering business. The couple have managed major restaurants in San Diego, CA, New Orleans, LA, Ohio, Maryland, Maine, and Quebec and drawing inspiration from the places they have lived and worked in, they have created a dining experience that highlights the best foods from their heritage and across the continent.

There are only a few places where you can listen to music or watch a show while having a nice casual dinner in the Southern Mid Coast area. This venue will be one in which you can do that on a regular basis. In the upstairs restaurant, while enjoying their Sunday brunch, you can listen to Christina Ariola, a wonderful jazz singer, or the soothing gentle Jazz with Sam Saltonstall on the keyboard, which adds just another level of ambiance to an already lovely dining experience.

In the Pub every Thursday evening in the month of August is Open Mic night, Friday’s and Saturday’s will feature different singers and on Saturday, August 5 there will be a Comedian starting at 5 p.m. They even have a Canvases & Cocktails night (a/k/a Paint Night) scheduled for Tuesday, August 1 from 6-8 p.m. As you can see, this venue will not only be a destination for a great Sunday brunch, lunch or dinner, but also fun for some live entertainment! Check out their web site or their ad in The Cryer for future events.

In addition to their fine restaurant venue, services also include catering, private parties, events (including weddings), online ordering and delivery to Highland Green residents. Wild Duck Restaurant & Pub is located at 114 Village Drive, Topsham. Current Hours are Sunday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the restaurant. Pub hours are Tuesday-Thursday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone 207-406-2109. Be sure to make this a “must do” on your upcoming social list, I promise you will enjoy the experience.
